The SYMA 3 Channel S013 has true 3 axis proportional control. It's durable: after it has probably crashed 200 times in the ten hours and it's still in new condition. It can be flown indoors: in all those crashes it didn't break down anything yet.
Information: it is very small and light; apparently it won't tolerate a breeze outdoors. The controller takes 4 AA batteries. The controller plugs into the helicopter to charge it. You get about 5 to 10 minutes of flying time for 10 to 20 minutes of charging time.
Downsides: it takes a while to learn to control it. After ten hours I am just now able to fly with only a couple of crashes per flight.
Buyer advisory: only buy RC toys that have proportional control (small input/ small result, large input/ large result). RC toys that aren't proportional are no fun, even for kids, because you can't develop skill.

This modle is highly Durable! Thick plastic blades, a thick plastic nose shell and a Aluminum skeleton.
The Gyro is not a joke it really really works. Outdoors it really shows how well it helps keep the unit level. The control has a trim knob to keep the unit from spinning while hovering.
The controller itself feels really cheap and the decals placed on it are off center to a point where it was inhibiting the trim knob and required me to remove it.
This is a great little helicopter for the price. It flies better than the S107, which is saying a lot. It is very nicely detailed and looks great in the air. I haven't found a better helicopter out there for the price. What you will find with the e-flight is longevity. The Syma micro helicopters will give you months of great fun, the e-flight will generally give you years. But most people move on to other things or upgrade to a newer model by a year anyway. So, if you are looking for a fun indoor helicopter for yourself or child, this should more than satisfy your needs. Be careful not to buy from an unknown source because I understand the counterfeits are out there. But any Amazon seller should be safe.

This has fast forward flight, a super-stable hover, and a nice touch. It's definitely something a beginner can fly, even younger children with a little supervision to start.
Compared the parts/frame of the mcx2 to the mcx and they look pretty much identical, the servo arms have a little "C" in the middle of them, I think that might give them a little more durability, other than that I couldn't really see anything else. (mcx2 5in1 has led plug) That being said the mcx2 feels like it's maintained it's hover "integrity", if you will, through more crashes. Have yet to really smash this, but I've bounced it off a few walls and whatnot, and nothing has broken.
I have noticed the flybar can pop off at impact, I'm not sure if this was done on purpose since the attached flybar would occasionally bust on the original mcx.
The mcx2 is a little faster in forward flight than the mcx1 if you switch the servos to the longer balls on the swashplate, also there's an optional (sold seperately) tail with weight sold for the mcx2 that can replace the current tail that makes it a little more maneuverable.

This is an good product for transitioning into a tandem rotor heli system. It has flight characteristics different that the co-ax systems most people start with. Its typically stable without the need of a gyro and performs well throughout most flight conditions. If you want to experience a tandem 3 channel mini this is could be your product of choice. The fit and finish of this model is excellent. I would consider an upgrade to the SYMA Model S026 after getting some flight time with the S022. The S026 is a true radio controlled product (27 Mhz) that has the same rugged design ad the S022.
Bottom-Line: The SYMA S022 is a good tandem rotor toy heli for the price. It is a bit small but makes up for the enjoyment of flying a tandem rotor heli. I does take some time to transition from a single coax to a tandem coax system since you can trim the pitch but its well worth the experience.

This is an awesome micro heli. It is durable, neat to fly (flight time ~6-8 min.), and has cool blinking blue/red lights when turned on! This micro heli (like a lot of micro heli's out there) requires constant trim adjustment for straight flight. Trim adjustments makes this heli a bit of a challenge to fly, but once this skill is mastered it is a lot of fun (for me, if there is not a little challenge to it than where is the fun). I purchased this toy because I thought it would be a cool hobby my boy and I could enjoy together. I was right (where hooked),and have now purchased a Syma "big" S022 Chinook. We are having a blast with both heli's. I would highly recomend this item to anyone curious about RC heli's. This little heli is low priced, a little challenging, and a lot of fun! A great first step into the RC heli hobby.
The new Air Wolf Shipped fast and quite surprised that:
A) This was very easy to fly
B) Quick response and very manuverable
C) There is an extra button to change to a higher top speed once you can handle it.
Here is the "but" part. Although the helicopter had several rough landings, it only comes with one replacement rear roter and no spare main roter blades, so while it can take some punishment, once a mail blade breaks thats it.
OVERALL. A fun toy fo kids 12 and older and worth what paid.

This is a great first helicopter. My son was able to figure out how to fly it pretty well and he is only 5. Everyone else has enjoyed flying it as well. It charges in about 45 minutes via USB and we seem to get close to 15 minutes of flying time, which is pretty good. It is very easy to hover and with some practice you can get pretty accurate on where you fly it. My only complaint would be that the battery was easy to replace. I was hoping you could swap it out easily to get more flying time, but that's not the case. Oh well, maybe we'll get another. Also, it is very durable and has been through plenty of crashes with no damage. Highly recommended!
This is RC Helicopter is an excellent introduction into RC Helicopters. This is by far the best micro helicopters. It flies super stable and does not break easily like others do. This unit is very very stable and predictable it recovers quickly from bumps or fluctuations. Very solid and well built too. If you are looking for a low maintenance, fun RC Helicopter, this is the one for you. Very few extra parts to deal with and the USB Charging is amazingly simple and easy. I would recomend this to anyone who wants to learn to fly an RC Helicopter - even recomend it for Kids ages 6 and up (if supervised by an adult).

After flying the 7.5 inch Syma S107 indoor heli for about 3 months now, I have to say that it is one of the most under-rated RC heli out there, hands down. At about $30 online with taxes and stuff, this little trooper delivers the looks, detail, durability and performance to give a lot of pricier RC helis a run for their money. It has only 3-way controls but it competes surprisingly well with the pricier Blade MCX2 which has 4-way controls and retails for about $150 off-line.
PERFORMANCE: I find it more fun to fly the Syma S107 than the smoother and more mellifluous Blade MCX2. In this sense the Syma S107 hews to a less is more principle: i.e. it delivers more with less controls. But here is the irony or paradox: Its ragged performance edge actually connects you with it the way a manual transmission would connect you with your car. Those who drive stick shift know what I am talking about.

Nice RC Helicopter. Better flying outdoors with no wind. But too long to fly indoors. You must choose a very clean area for indoor flying. I got a blade broken trying to fly in a narrow space. I do not recommend it for beginners like me. Better starting with small ones (Syma 032 or Helizone Firebird). Battery life is decent and motors have plenty of power. but I will replace battery with a 11.1 volts one.
